The article only refers to indogermanic myths. What about non-idg divine twins, like Hun Ahpu and Xbalanke?--87.162.29.223 (talk) 17:07, 24 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That was the first thing that came to my mind, too. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:56A:7058:C00:4D6F:D79D:EC3:149 (talk) 02:04, 9 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Gnostic doctrine?

[edit]

What is this gnostic doctrine of divine twins? There are no references and the link to gnosticism does not mention anything about twins.TonyMath (talk) 01:22, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've cut it from the article. The whole article badly needs some referencing. :bloodofox: (talk) 02:19, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Divine Twins in Celtic iconography

[edit]

I'm leaving a source that discusses the theme: Kruta Venceslas. «Têtes jumelées» et jumeaux divins : essai d’iconographie celtique. In: Etudes Celtiques, vol. 42, 2016. pp. 33-57. Divine Twins in West Slavic beliefs

[edit]

There are no Lel and Polel in Slavic mythology, and certainly no Łada. I tried to give a detailed description of this 600 years old misconception, for someone else, who knows what they're doing, to edit, but I failed horribly. So in book Aleksander Gierysztor, "Mitologie Świata, Mitologia Słowian", Wydawnictwa Artystyczne i Filmowe, 1986 Warszawa ISBN 83-221-0152-X there is on sites 144-156 detailed descripton, that there were 'some' Divine Twins in Poland, but definitely not Łada's Lel and Polel. If you know what you're doing please edit that section accordingly, because I clearly can't do that. 77.252.47.230 (talk) 16:44, 19 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
