Article scope[edit]

I really REALLY do not want to sound mean, but I'm having a difficult time seeing how the two-cd set containing these three plays should have its own article. Each of the plays should, and one does already. I don't really see anything that can be added here that can't be fulfilled by the existing Doctor Who audio releases list. Can we agree to make this a redirect, and point articles about the three plays back to the aforementioned list? --JohnDBuell 04:22, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It seems to me as valid as any other compilation album, countless examples of which have their own articles. I also believe its notable as the only commercial release of these shows. Rob T Firefly 04:45, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Compilation albums themselves are the source of quite a bit of controversy though, see Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums. And the set's ONLY notability might be the release of these three plays on CD. If there were more diverse elements that individual articles about the individual plays could NOT serve (such as the case with Doctor Who at the BBC 1, 2 and 3) I could easily see and defend a case for an article about the CD release. With this one though, I can't. Don't take it personally, please, I just can't agree with your reasoning as stated. --JohnDBuell 05:05, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No worries about me taking anything personally, I'm not that kind of Wikipedian. ;-D I must admit I'm a bit surprised though, as I expected the issue to come up with Dalek I Love You (radio) (an article I cleaned up for notability in part by referencing the CD release) and not this article. I thought people would want to zap the individual play articles and redir them here. In any case I would love to get more discussion going, and have posted a note to the Dr Who Wikiproject to get some more opinions on this. Rob T Firefly 07:27, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
