I have deleted the following text from the article because from all the maps I can see, Dogslacks (now more often known as “Lowland View” is a farmstead of two or three buildings about 80m by 30m, and nowhere near big enough for 200-odd people and a primary school. Also, the Twatt Hill in the photo is in Shetland[1] and the RCAHMS link doesn't support the claim of "8th century":

It had a population of 242 in the previous census in 2001, although the construction of a small new housing estate means the current population is somewhat higher. The settlement has a small shop and a single class primary school. As it is located only one mile from Ecclefechan the children of Dogslacks attend secondary schools there. Apart from normal housing there are also two modern farms, and a further one ("Twatt Hill") which according to the Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland dates back to the 8th century and is one of the oldest agricultural features in Scotland.

I've had a look at the census results for 2001, and they don't seem to support the claim of a population of 242. According to Royal Mail, the postcode for Lowlands View is DG11 3JX, which is in census output area 60QH000049, which in 2001 had a population of 207[2]. --bjh21 (talk) 12:56, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
