Composition history[edit]
The story of Busoni's composition of this opera is rich and interesting. At some point we should try to build a section describing his efforts. Personally I have too much else on my plate right now. Edit request Would it be of interest to add that the 1959 performance was Boult conducting the London Philharmonic Orchestra? Other soloists (from the LPO archive diaries) were: D Fischer Dieskau,Richard Lewis, Heather Harper, John Cameron, Ian Wallace. Phil 000 (talk) 09:51, 21 October 2010 (UTC)
