This ghost town is one of several in an area of western Webb County, Texas. I would like to see it expanded and connected with the other nearby ghost towns. There are some maps and other materials available that could be added. Also, one of the main connecting features of the ghost towns in this area is the Rio Grande and Eagle Pass Railway. I would like to see that topic fleshed out and integrated with all of the ghost town pages.

The GNIS does not recognize this as existing; it does; however list a Dolores Colonia just south in Zapata County just south of the Webb-Zapata county line along US Route 83 with a Dolores Creek to the south. The USGS topo sheets don't show such a community either (neither the 1933 Becerra Creek Quad 1:62,500 scale nor the 1979 1:24,000 scale show such a community - but the 2010 1:24,000 scale does show Dolores Colonia). So perhaps move the article to Zapata County and rename per GNIS and the 2010 topo sheet. Vsmith (talk) 00:09, 13 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
