We need something about the Human League's original. An anonymous user copied in a huge chunk from the external link, but I've removed it as unencyclopedic (and a likely copyvio). It may be useful as source material for a proper Wiki piece, though. -- Bonalaw 08:16, 10 August 2005 (UTC)

Rewrite

I rewrote it myself in the end. As requested The Human League content is now main focus of the article again. I have removed references to covers by non notable 'hobby' and tribute bands. Covers are now at the end of the article and not the main focus. Appearance in commercials has been put into context. I will return to add more references to the quotes and assertions by Philip Oakey and Susan Ann Gayle later. Andi064 23:57, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Sue DYWM.jpg

Image:Sue DYWM.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Musical analysis

Are there any musicologists who can provide additional detail on the songs structure, meter etc? Yorkshiresky (talk) 12:32, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

“Le League Humaine”?

Should it not be mentioned that it ought to have been “la ligue humaine” or was it deliberately wrong?User:LaFoiblesse 2008-11-02 18h31 (GMT)

If you look carefully at the clapperboard in a high quality version of the music video you will see that the wording is "Le League Humaine". It is grammatically incorrect probably because Steve Barron is not a francophone, and that it was an improvised gesture to François Truffaut that Barron thought up on the set. andi064 T . Another Release of MV?

I've found this music video with same title but different shootings from Google Video. It seems to be a new version of the MV filmed at New Jersey (described by the poser) and released in performance by Philip Oakey and an unknown female singer, but I can't find any information on the internet about that girl and the background of filming even its broadcast on the MTV channel. BTW, the video is also quite funny like the commercial of Chips Ahoy! in 2007. --Gzyeah (talk) 03:47, 29 March 2009 (UTC)

  • It is home made and has the MTV idents added to make it look authentic. Nothing to do with THL and not a broadcast music video andi064 T . C 10:13, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
