Complete rewrite necessary
[edit]This entire article was rewritten, since it is mostly about Grand Funk and not Don Brewer. Grand Funk has its own entry, rendering the information in this article largely repetitive. Furthermore, this article contains completely irrelevant and unsubstantiated information, such as the statement that former bandmate Mark Farner was an alleged high school football prodigy.
Competent Drum Work
[edit]Article graph 1: "[Brewer] is known for his competent drum work."
Just in case you're curious, that's a joke uttered by Homer Simpson from The Simpsons TV series (season 7 episode titled "Homerpalooza").

Don Brewer, Jewish?
[edit]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Jewish_American_musicians You have him listed as Jewish. Why not claim him as one. Shalom. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 120.149.112.140 (talk) 05:03, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
Don Brewer only remaining original member?
[edit]The article says that Don is the only remaining original member of GFR. However, the GBR article lists Mel Schachter as both an original member and a current member. I haven't been following this band, but this sole remaining original member claim appears to be an error. GFR's own website lists Mel as a current member: Grand Funk Band. I've not been editing this article, so I'm hesitant to fix this myself, as maybe there's something else going on that I'm unaware of and is not mentioned here.
