Pages moved to Donald Reid (politician born 1833), Donald Reid (politician born 1850) and Donald Reid (politician born 1855). Consensus was to move. Consensus was to use birth year. There no objections to adding politician, so that version won out. Vegaswikian (talk) 20:55, 24 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

– We have three former New Zealand MPs of the name Donald Reid. One of those pairs is father and son, and the naming conventions suggest to use ", Sr." or ", Jr.". With the third politician in the game, this isn't quite so clear cut, and I'd thus prefer to use their birth years, which is one of the more 'creative' options listed on the naming conventions page. Note that their death years could also be used, but they all died within three years, so they have a better spread in their birth years. Schwede66 05:24, 17 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

  • That's certainly a possibility, too. I don't have a strong preference for any of those options. Let's see what others think. Schwede66 09:41, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
