So this guy lived to be 112 did he? Have we got a reference for that? 86.29.122.31 (talk) 16:47, 8 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The fellow is referred to in Patrick O'Brian's novel The Reverse of the Medal. In my edition, where unfortunately all 20 novels are page numbered consecutively, on page 3663. CharlesKiddell (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 02:52, 27 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Why this title?

[edit]

Donnchadh Ó Hámsaigh

Where does this bizarre version of the man's name come from, and why is it used here? It's not his name in Irish, Donnchadh Ó hAmhsaigh (see https://ga.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donnchadh_Ó_hAmhsaigh), nor is it any of the common Anglicised versions. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 32.217.42.12 (talk) 02:38, 29 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]
