Hey, shouldn't they be linked to fictional towns for Medicine Creek in Still Life with Crows?

Can you elaborate? There's no article for Medicine Creek (or Still Life with Crows, for that matter) and I don't see a category or list dealing with fictional towns. At any rate, even if there is, the authors themselves shouldn't link to that topic; the towns should. Kafziel 18:48, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Follow-up: I did find a list of fictional cities. If you want to add Medicine Creek to that page, feel free! Kafziel 18:52, 30 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I should probably sign up for an account eventually - listing for 1996's Mount Dragon with L. Child was missing so I added it68.73.3.101 15:18, 27 May 2007 (UTC)MD[reply]

Amanda Knox case[edit]

I reverted an edit expressing the opinion that Preston did not have a law degree and was therefore not qualified to comment on the Amanda Knox case. Wikipedia is not the place to express such opinions, this article should stick to a NPOV and just report what Preston has done. --Footwarrior (talk) 15:54, 14 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I would expect that the hyperlink for Amanda Knox in the first sentence to go to "Amanda Knox" rather than "Murder_of_Meredith_Kercher#Amanda_Knox" but I wasn't sure enough to make the change. BartonM (talk) 23:20, 31 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Introductory paragraph[edit]

The introductory paragraph sucks limes. "... four alone and...." and "... both alone and...." is not just poor writing--- nobody who speaks English speaks that way. Also, the words "many" and "most" are used in the article where they are not warranted; Wyman Ford is not in "most" of the "solo" novels--- he is in many, not most. Monster of Florence film reference[edit]

The article says It is currently being developed into a movie by the studio Fox 2000, produced by George Clooney, in which Clooney will play the role of Preston. This citation given is this, which makes no reference to Preston or the film. The IMDB citation refers to the original article here which refers to an adaptation of Monster of Florence, but there is no mention of George Clooney - in fact the film is not currently being developed, but described as McQuarrie trying to get an adaptation made. Indeed, the links do not correctly cite the statements in the article. However, in May of year 2015 Mister Preston mentioned to a separate (unconnected) film producer (Tomas Leach) that if the film is funded, George Clooney would star in and produce the film. Mister Preston has mentioned the project, with George Clooney playing the role of Doug, many times in the past few years. --Desertphile (talk) 23:29, 31 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bibliography[edit]

I have commenced a tidy-up of the Bibliography section using cite templates. Capitalization and punctuation follow standard cataloguing rules in AACR2 and RDA, as much as Wikipedia templates allow it. Feel free to continue. Sunwin1960 (talk) 05:36, 16 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Potential merge of solo novels[edit]

Hello,

I was wondering, would there be any objection to a potential merge of Preston's solo novels to a list? I think many of the current articles are shaky on WP:NBOOK grounds (e.g. The Codex (novel) is currently a pure plot summary and doesn't include any sourced reception or commentary). Even if there's one or two articles that aren't, they can remain spun-out, and the rest merged in. This would help make the case for their notability-in-general by allowing the lesser novels to surf off the notability of the other novels that do have more critical commentary. Something similar was done with Lincoln Child's solo novels as well, recently. SnowFire (talk) 18:07, 20 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
