This institute of the University is not independently notable, so best thing is to merge it into the parent article Joseph2302 (talk) 10:48, 16 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

It should not be merged because one is university and another is college. So it should be left as it was, however provide more information about this institute will be better. Wiki Writes 14:59, 24 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Merger Was Very Wrong

[edit]

It seems some editors may not be aware of university system in India, and seem to be treating these 800 colleges as if they are halls or hostels within a university. Saying that if they were an obscure hall within a british university they would be notable enough for independent article. I will leave to others speculate why.

Indian Universities were built on the University of London system. Each college educates 1000s of students have their own administration and campuses. They are functionally different and for nearly all practical purposes independent institutes.

They are part of the university in the sense the examination and syllabus is set centrally. The university is in essence the examination board- similar to how it is for school boards with respect to schools. These universities are massive- with near 0.5 million students.

Saying all these colleges are not notable enough independently, well maybe not for western people, but they are for students and the millions of people in the communities they are located in.

So I vociferously disagree, and honestly find this decision offensive, to thousands of students being told they are not notable. I suspect/hope it was the result of ignorance not malice. Jagmanst (talk) 05:26, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Accurate Institute of Management and Technology

[edit]

Accurate Institute of Management and Technology redirects here but has substantial text after the #REDIRECT directive. Please can an editor familiar with the subject un-redirect, merge, delete or otherwise deal with the content? Pinging editors who commented on the merger: Richard3120, Fowler&fowler, Derivator2017, DGG. Thanks, Certes (talk) 22:02, 10 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

None of the sources in the Accurate Institute of Management and Technology are independent - four of them are from the Institute's website, the other two look like listing from non-reliable websites, so I'm not sure there's anything to merge. Richard3120 (talk) 11:52, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. I'll remove the invisible content for now, without prejudice to someone who knows the topic doing something better with it later. I've retained the categories, though they can go too if not considered helpful. Certes (talk) 12:07, 11 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
