Selincourt & Sons[edit]

Hi. Selincourt & Sons are listed as one of the Drapery Trusts business before and after the Debenhams takeover, and look to have been primarily a cloth manufacturer who had a drapery, silk and farriers store a Vere Street, London. In fact members of the de Selincourt family were listed as Directors. However in 1962, Selincourt bought 30% of Hide & Co [1] and as per the House of Fraser Archive at the University of Glasgow, Selincourt also owned Bairds and Alexander Henderson, which were sold to HOF. I cannot find if this was under the ownership of the Drapery Trust, or if the were sold off by Debenhams. Post 1962 only shows the sale of Bairds/Henderson, that they were a clothing manufacturer across many areas [2] and that the name changed after a merger in 1970.[3]Davidstewartharvey (talk) 06:57, 14 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
