Succession box

Removed the WLiiA? succession box -- the show only had two hosts, and really, Drew didn't "succeed" Clive Anderson. Amnewsboy 10:31, 28 May 2006 (UTC)

Vandalism

Removed some vandalism from Career section. Please take note if any further vandalism occurs, with particular emphasis on Mr. Carey's weight.Doyel 23:49, 15 August 2006 (UTC)

MySpace

Is that MySpace page legit? Deshem 09:33, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

I believe it is, I saw some interview several months back of him talking about it and it has several pictures of him with his new sports show, so I am pretty sure it is his page. --Nehrams2020 16:19, 30 August 2006 (UTC)

GA Result

There are 7 things that must pass before an article reaches GA status. I have reviewed it and the result is as follows:

  1. Well-written: Pass
  2. Factually accurate: Pass
  3. Broad: Pass
  4. Neutrally written: Pass
  5. Stable: Pass
  6. Well-referenced: Pass
  7. Images: Pass

Well done, the GA has passed successfully. Bob talk 11:52, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Funny funny man

Drew Carey is a very funny man, but his politics are terrible. What do you think? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Nomorepieforyou (talkcontribs) 17:39, 15 May 2007 (UTC). This is wikipedia, our opinions about Drew Carey’s politics are irrelevant.

as opposed to 99% of hollywood, who's politics are even worse and who are still not funny?
why are his politics terrible? because he is a republican or right-leaning libertarian?
god what a typical intolerrant leftist hypocrite douche you are --KpoT (talk) 07:29, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

He has stated he was Libertarian. Which is why I want to comment here. In the article it states "On the August 18, 2006 Penn Radio show with Penn Jillette, Carey did, however, say he was indeed libertarian.[citation needed]". The part where it gives the date and name of the show qualifies as an in text citation according to both the MLA and APA standards of citing works. Why is a [citation needed] here then? It seems like a sort of weak vandalism or protest. Fauxanadu (talk) 01:10, 3 January 2009 (UTC)Fauxanadu

Comedy Central Roast

He was roasted on Comedy Central, isn't that an honor? I think roastees are inducted into some hall of fame.

Price Is Right

I cannot find where it is a lie that he's not going to be the next host. I would like to see the source for that comment. -68.174.87.129 01:44, 29 July 2007 (UTC)

That was vandalism. -TPIRFanSteve 04:32, 29 July 2007 (UTC)
When is Carey going to start as the host? I'll probably tape a couple of episodes to see him in action. --The Radio Star 20:02, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
It hasn't been decided yet. -TPIRFanSteve 20:22, 1 August 2007 (UTC)
When is he going to step down as host of TPIR? God I miss Bob. Come out of retirement Bob!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.235.221.33 (talk) 01:18, 27 September 2008 (UTC)

Head Image

I don't really like the main image for this article. Although I know that Wikipedia isn't censored for children, I still don't think that it is really appropriate for an encyclopedia, as he is putting on a stupid face and flipping off the camera. I don't think it really works for a descriptive image. Karrmann (talk) 21:35, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Although it's definitely not my favorite image of him either, it is the most recent one we have of him (December 2007). It could be replaced with another image if we can get permission from somebody that may have a better/more current image of him. I'm always searching for new images of him on Flickr and other sites, but haven't received permission for a replacement yet. If anyone doesn't like the image, then please help continue to find other ones. --Nehrams2020 (talk) 21:54, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Picture

I figured out how to get rid of that picture. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.117.131.34 (talk) 04:12, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Can anyone get a better picture? I would think with him becoming pretty high profile now with The Price is Right job that this isn't the best picture to have of a guy who host's a daytime family game show.74.129.237.142 (talk) 16:04, 31 January 2008 (UTC)

Perhaps we could use a better picture. Maybe one less likely to cause immediate stereotypes. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.138.83.10 (talk) 03:15, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm not going to edit the article because I wouldn't know what I'm doing so I'll leave it up to you. Is there a better picture you can find then Drew giving everyone the bird? Thanks! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.119.32.80 (talk) 02:14, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
I've got to agree, that picture is funny but entirely inappropriate for an article's lead picture. I mean, do we put a picture of Bush flipping the bird on his page? The Clawed One (talk) 04:24, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

The first line is a bit harsh for an encyclopedia 203.3.197.249 (talk) 02:50, 30 January 2008 (UTC)

More picture problems

There is obviously a user vandalizing this article, particularly in regards to the picture. One user in particular keeps re-adding a picture of Carey flipping the bird to this article. I will try to get the other picture of Carey deleted from Wikipedia so that the user cannot continue vandalizing this article when a good picture already exists. However, it looks like this might be a problem, as it is a picture used as an example in The Finger --Mr. Brown (talk) 05:28, 22 February 2008 (UTC)

Columbus Blue Jackets fan?

I remember him working Blue Jacket's jerseys in to several later episodes of his show, any word on if he's a fan? -194.72.81.141 (talk) 23:34, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

GA reassessment

The only major issue I had with this article was that a few sections, mainly the other roles one, has okay prose and feels almost listy. It's a lot of two-sentence paragraphs that doesn't flow as well as I'd like. Still, everything else is quite good on this article, so while I hope the prose improves, I'm find with the article staying a GA. Wizardman 23:36, 7 June 2009 (UTC)

Zombie?

It says he becomes a flesh eating zombie... is this true? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.94.91.58 (talk) 17:50, 25 July 2010 (UTC)

Thank you for catching that, in the future feel free to remove any vandalism you see. It may be helpful to look through the article history first in case the vandal removed valid content. --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talkcontrib) 03:16, 26 July 2010 (UTC)

Freaky Friday 2!

Yeah Drew Carrey also made a brief appearance in the television movie Freaky Friday. Don't believe me? Look up Freaky Friday on Wikipedia and then find the article on the second adaption made by Disney. There you'll find a list of guest appearances including Drew Carey. Picture

This is just my opinion, and I don't have much experience in Wikipedia's picture politics, but it seems to me that the main picture could be updated with something more recent, given is weight loss. Seeing him now on TV, he looks quite a bit different then he did just three years ago. 50.129.169.82 (talk) 20:02, 12 August 2011 (UTC)

I've been searching for one, but so far have not found one that is under a free license. The image currently being used was released by the author under a license that allows the work to be used by anyone. I search every couple months for a new image and contact authors in attempt to get his more current look. --Happy editing! Nehrams2020 (talkcontrib) 01:46, 13 August 2011 (UTC)
I saw him on tv the other day (Power of 10) and he was pretty chubby; don't know if it was an old re-run. As of fall 2010 they were still just engaged per this and and this quasi-reliable source. CarolMooreDC 11:51, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

Allison

Is his middle name really Allison? It was mentioned on whose line, but it seemed like a joke and I have not found any other sources. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.87.152.227 (talk) 06:49, 30 June 2015 (UTC)
