Drumming

[edit]

Drumming, we do it all the time even if we don't know how to play, or don't realize it. Tapping you're fingers could be considered drumming. Maybe even the sound of me typing could be considered drumming. I saw this:

  • the act of playing the drums or other percussion instruments
  • Drumming, a musical composition written by Steve Reich in 1971 for percussion ensemble

And thought, hey, Is there an article like this? Whoah, In all of Wikipedia, there isn't!? So anyway, I was thinking that maybe people would like to know what sub-conciouslly goodnessy act happens. Gaelen can drumming in the world =)

Why do we do it!?

Well, I think we do it because we've been listening to music for so long and love the sound of it. Maybe it comforts us, helps us in feeling happy!

Do drummers tap their fingers more?

I've been thinking that maybe they do! I was on a bus with my friend, he's a drummer, and he was staring blankly into space (or at the ceiling. Sorry if I spell that wrong) and drumming his fingers on a seat! I personally found this EXTREMELY annoying and asked him to stop. He goes "Stop? Oh! Right...Sorry.". — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.165.126.107 (talk) 17:48, 4 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
