I OBJECT TO THE DELETION OF THIS PAGE! |I have found pages on wikipedia about people that did far less than be the third wife of the Palatine of Hungary, a Princess, mother of a Queen, and give birth to 5 children. Not only was Maria Dorothea married to the Palatine of Hungary, and a natural born Princess, but her daughter later became Queen of Belgium. If that doesn't earn Maria Dorothea her own page, I don't know what would. Maria's page is important in not only giving slightly more personal information about her (her date of birth, place, date of death, place and parents), and establishing that she was a Princess and therefor explaining why her marriage to Joseph was acceptable, but also in linking her to her children and their accomplishments. I plan to put up more information on her and each of her children, and source information. If you will kindly look at the time I made the page, you will understand why I had not yet completed it, as I did it around 4am this morning. Before any action is taken, I would like this throughly looked at, and time to finish the page. I strongly object to the deletion of this page.

RESPONSE TO SECOND PROD As a wife of a the Palatine of Hungary, and mother of a Queen, I believe that she probably did many "notable" things during her lifetime. The duties of a lifetime as a princess, let alone wife of a Palatine and duties accompanying that, as well as duties as a Queen's mother, would probably constitute enough "notable" things to fill a book. I just haven't found that book yet. I only had the listing up a few hours (I'm a brand new user) when it was prod the first time, and I had barely got that undone and finished listing her children and just getting the article properly linked and categorized before it was hit a second time. I would like a little bit more time than a day, as I'm still figuring out how to do everything on here, before the article is judged. I'm still attempting to figure out how to do sources, and adding additional information to her children. Perhpas you should just tell me what exactly are you looking for in here Cathy? Specific things she helped with, or generalizations about accomplishments that a normal person of her status would have done? Because it's pretty much a given that she was involved in charities, the arrangement of the match between her daughter Henriette and the then Prince of Belgium (as her husband had been dead 6 years by that time), etc.

Prod

[edit]

I've removed the prod template (and tidied the other ones) as the subject of the article seems notable enough in the context of Hungarian/Belgian history, having been wife of the Palatine of Hungary and mother of the Queen Consort of Belgium. The prod's reasoning didn't appear to have taken this into account. Miremare 20:01, 15 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, if I had known that, I might not have prod'd it. But it doesn't say that in the article, then or now. Perhaps you should add it to the article? And explain why she is important in the context of history? It would help a lot. Postcard Cathy 07:14, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Actually it does say that in the article, and it did then too.[1] Miremare 12:13, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
