Origin of the word "Doozy" or "Doozie"[edit]

I believe this canoe marathon is the origin of the word "doozy". There seems to be little epistemological information online about the history of this "slang" term online, but I believe it comes from a misspelling of this canoe trip before it became an official canoe race. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paulsheer (talkcontribs) 19:04, 30 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
