Dutch Slave trade wiki-page missing[edit]

This is not a criticism of the Dutch Slave Coast article, but I got to it when I searched for a "Dutch Slave Trade" article and was automatically referred to this page. This is a pity as it blocks an article about the Dutch slave trade that would be far broader than this article about the Dutch settlements on what was known as the Slave Coast. The main Dutch slave fortress was Elmina Castle on the "Gold Coast", for instance. The problem is that the information about the Dutch slave trade is now spread across a large number of wiki articles, like Dutch Gold Coast, Dutch West India Company, Middelburgsche Commercie Compagnie to name only a few instances. If one knows where to look the information may be collated. But the point is that one uses Wikipedia to find such information at one place. The Dutch government currently intends to offer formal apologies for the Dutch role in the slave trade on 19 December 2022. This news event will probably occasion a peak of interest in the Dutch slave trade, which currently would not be well-served by Wikipedia. I found the page History of Dutch slavery, which does contain most information on the Dutch slave trade, but for some reason "Dutch slave trade" does not link to that page. I therefore suggest that the link-page "Dutch slave trade" is unlinked from this page and linked to "History of Dutch slavery". Ereunetes (talk) 21:29, 8 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

On reflection I already edited the Dutch slave trade redirect page as I suggested. No reason to leave it to others. Ereunetes (talk) 22:34, 8 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
