Move to: Stories about St Dwynwen[edit]

What we have in this article has nothing to do with the Feast Day of Santes Dwynwen: yet the title is excactly that!

The body of the article is of different versions of the old stories; therefore I suggest we rename the page to: Stories about St Dwynwen.

I will then write an article on the Feast Day proper. Ysgol Dinas Bran (talk) 16:13, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Many Wikipedians seem not to mind excluding their readers by showing off their knowledge of foreign languages when this is not justified by customary use. It seems rather pretentious to entitle this page of the English Wikipedia in Welsh; I agree that it needs moving. Diomedea Exulans (talk) 14:02, 9 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Probable copyvio[edit]

The article borrows too closely from Reference #2: article at the National Museum Wales website and needs to be re-written. It also needs a paragraph on how the saint is regarded by the Christian Churches of Wales and the Church in general. 108.56.199.37 (talk) 16:49, 25 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

On second look, the useful information in this article should be merged into the article on Saint Dwynwen and this article should be deleted. 108.56.199.37 (talk) 18:36, 25 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

title[edit]

It is pretentious to entitle this article in Welsh rather than English: this is the English Wikipedia, and even the "educated reader" who is anglophone cannot be expected to know the phrase in Welsh (after all, St Valentine's Day is not known as "Dies Sancti Valentini"!). The title should be changed or the article merged as suggested with the one on the saint herself. Deipnosophista (talk) 12:22, 17 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
