Update RIAJ in Table[edit]

Dynamite is certified "Platinum" (250,000 downloads) for "single digital certifications" in RIAJ (2021年2月). Someone kindly update it in the Certifications Table because I am confused what to do with its "Cumulative sales" archive list. Facts Spiller (talk) 16:59, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Done @Facts Spiller: since no one has updated it since the certs were released I did it. Muhandes can you please check whether I've correctly updated the Japan certification or not? -- Carlobunnie (talk) 20:15, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Carlobunnie: The template supports one of two modes, it either adds the certified amount, or you can use |salesamount= with a number from another source. It does not support both at once, and using it this way breaks the internals. I see some editors abusing it this way, but this is not how it is supposed to work. If people think this is a required feature, discuss it at Template talk:Certification Table Entry. --Muhandes (talk) 20:53, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Muhandes: I only copied what I saw another editor do in a previous edit (I assumed it was acceptable because no one corrected their changes) so thank you for the fixes and clarifying. -- Carlobunnie (talk) 21:00, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The key of the song is not C# minor[edit]

The song is in E major. It is obviously not a melancholy, minor keyed song. The first chord is C# minor but the tonic is E major. I don't know the best way to fix this on such an in-depth article so hopefully someone else can take a look. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.178.11.152 (talkcontribs)

The source provided says "Original Published Key: C# Minor". Can you provide a reliable source that says this song is in a different key? Otherwise, your comment is considered original research, and cannot be included in the article. Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 20:02, 22 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Key[edit]

I’m pretty sure the song is in E major, not C# minor. --121.221.134.214 (talk) 06:08, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please see the above section (#The key of the song is not C# minor). Thanks! D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 18:03, 21 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Danuri playing the song[edit]

@Carlobunnie what's wrong with my edit?? Chinakpradhan (talk) 19:30, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your edits aren't constructive. Btspurplegalaxy 💬 🖊️ 19:34, 18 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Why it added a new thing a probe transmitting BTS dynamite song to us.@Btspurplegalaxy Chinakpradhan (talk) 02:26, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I don't see how the edits were not constructive, but the content you added probably belongs under a new "Legacy" header. Gamowebbed (talk) 12:17, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
@Gamowebbed so am i allowed to add my edits again. its like Adidas Al Rihla#Trip to Space. Chinakpradhan (talk) 12:40, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
if you allow @Gamowebbed i can just explain it in one small line under that legacy or critical reception. Chinakpradhan (talk) 12:41, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
this news is also as important as content of Voyager Golden Record @Gamowebbed. Chinakpradhan (talk) 12:44, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Same thoughts as Carlobunnie and Btspurplegalaxy, the content imo isn't noteworthy enough to be included here nor do I think it's important and is also out of place. Paper9oll (🔔📝) 14:04, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
BTW Nothing wrong with the content, see the legacy section here: The Final Countdown (song) Gamowebbed (talk) 15:21, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I'll try add it in for you in a way that fits with the article, let me know what you think. Gamowebbed (talk) 15:17, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Sorry for the delay.
  • "band's first song fully recorded in English" maybe "band's first entirely English-language song"?
Done Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 6:06, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
  • "and takes influence from" to "and is influenced by"?

  • "more PG friendly" I don't think "PG friendly" is a phrase
The phrase 'PG friendly' isn't standard. How would you like me to handle it? Should I remove it or replace it with something else?Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 6:39, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
  • Link Suga at first mention.

  • "including, King" Comma isn't necessary.

  • "each member gets" to "each member [of BTS] gets"
  • 'chorus as an "earworm"' The "as" is unnecessary.

  • The Reception section seems excessively positive; the one starred review included seems middling, but there's no discussion in the text of any aspects of the song that reviewers didn't like.
  • "in just under 27 days of its exceeding the former milestone" Just mention the days after release, doing mental math here is confusing.
I just put " in under 27 days" and removed the rest of the sentence to keep it simple. Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 6:50, 28 March 2024 (UTC)

  • "US, but their first" to "US and their first"

  • The world records are dubiously notable; Guinness is known for selling world records by making up random niche nonsense like "Most viewed YouTube music video in 24 hours by a K-pop group", and that looks like exactly what's here. World records also aren't accolades
  • Is the Dynamite cover really eligible for PD? The stylizing seems to be more than simple geometry to me.
It had been previously nominated for deletion but was kept. Btspurplegalaxy (talk) 6:17, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
