Mystery[edit]

Here is an obituary for an E. A. Sims, who lives in the appropriate part of the world. [1]. It looks like the same guy as the date of death is the same as the granddaughter claimed, and the children's names are the same; though two additional ones are given in obit. On the other hand the wife's name, and more importantly the year of birth are different. The granddaughter (and our article) has him born in 1946, whereas the obit says 1937. 1937 makes more sense to me...it would make him about 23 rather while winning the Sun Bowl in 1960. 1946 would have made him 14!! All this to say I think this is the guy, and we should go with the obit, and will be changing the article accordingly. --Slp1 (talk) 19:38, 15 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
