Copyright Issue Resolved-Hopefully[edit]

I have rewritten the E. Dan Career article. The sources are similar to what was sourced previously, however, everything is original and should not match the website. I looked back through the revision history and I think that whoever created the page just copied and pasted the text from edanmusic.com. The copyright infringement should be resolved. Hello @Ndowi18. At this point we have to wait until an administrator, copyright clerk or VRT agent comes along and investigates the issue and resolves it. In my experience, owing primarily to the size of the backlog of suspected copyright violation cases to be investigated, this could take weeks before someone is able to start the investigation, so patience is needed. — Archer1234 (t·c) 03:13, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ndowi18, I have chosen a different method of resolving the copyright problems here – reverting to before the copyvio was originally inserted. I did that partly because a part of your rewrite was a WP:close paraphrase of content here, and partly because the overall tone of the rewrite was unduly promotional for inclusion in an encyclopaedia. If, despite these problems, you want to preserve that content and submit it for review through the WP:AFC process, please let me know (here is fine). You appear to have a close connection to ID Labs – you have taken photographs there, and claim to have created their logo – but I don't see any paid-editor disclosure. I'll leave a note on your talk about this. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:14, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem removed[edit]

Prior content in this article duplicated one or more previously published sources. The material was copied from: https://web.archive.org/web/20210507013834/https://www.edanmusic.com/. Copied or closely paraphrased material has been rewritten or removed and must not be restored, unless it is duly released under a compatible license. (For more information, please see "using copyrighted works from others" if you are not the copyright holder of this material, or "donating copyrighted materials" if you are.)

For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or published material; such additions will be deleted. Contributors may use copyrighted publications as a source of information, and, if allowed under fair use, may copy sentences and phrases, provided they are included in quotation marks and referenced properly. The material may also be rewritten, provided it does not infringe on the copyright of the original or plagiarize from that source. Therefore, such paraphrased portions must provide their source. Please see our guideline on non-free text for how to properly implement limited quotations of copyrighted text. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with these policies. Thank you. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 21:00, 16 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
