Update
[edit]This article should be updated, I guess. It seems that regular service did start in 2016 (at least that's what the time tables say, that I found) --PaterMcFly talk contribs 09:24, 24 February 2016 (UTC)
F Market & Wharves and E Embarcadero Merger Proposal
[edit]I propose that this article be merged with the F Market & Wharves article. Both are heritage streetcar lines run by Muni and they use the same rail line between Fisherman's Wharf and the Ferry Building. Link to the other article's talk page: Talk:F Market & Wharves#F Market & Wharves and E Embarcadero Merger Proposal. Jackdude101 (Talk) 16:30, 11 May 2016 (UTC)
- It's best if this discussion take place entirely at Talk:F Market & Wharves#F Market & Wharves and E Embarcadero Merger Proposal – so please route all discussion over there, so it remains in one place. Thank you. --IJBall (contribs • talk) 22:02, 12 May 2016 (UTC)
Central Embarcadero Safety Project
[edit]@Pi.1415926535: The Central Embarcadero Safety Project does not mention the tram, but while the whole (section of the) street is in construction, it may be difficult to maintain tram service.--Ulamm (talk) 18:48, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Ulamm: Unless there is a reliable source that says the project will have an effect on if/when E Embarcadero service returns, speculating about it is original research. Pi.1415926535 (talk) 20:32, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
- We shan't write, the service will be reassumed as soon as the works are finished, but it is honest to write that the reassumption is unlikeky as long as they are working in that street.
- Perhaps you can search for plans. The announcements I have seen in the web tell that a broad bidirectional cycle track will be built on the waterside of the street. This might afford to move all lanes, inclusively the tram rails, one or two meters landward.--Ulamm (talk) 21:25, 2 October 2024 (UTC)
