Surely George Windsor, Earl of St Andrews, is the current Earl of St Andrews? Even though it's a courtesy title, he is the only one currently known by that title, and Countess of St Andrews redirects to his wife, Sylvana Tomaselli. Deb (talk) 08:55, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • @Deb:, I hope the recent edit to the article has attempted to clarify. While George uses the title as a courtesy title, I am sure that unless Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, resigned the title in favour of his heir, then Prince Edward would still technically hold the title. Would need to find some references to support. Regards Newm30 (talk) 09:50, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
There's no shortage of references: [1], [2], [3], [4], to name but a few. It would be much harder to find a reference that describes the present Duke of Kent as Earl of St Andrews. It's the inconsistency that concerns me most. Deb (talk) 10:12, 4 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
