I recommend that inscription and evidence that is found in tamil literature must be given top priority when we talk about the tamil empires rather than promoting buddhist chronicles or information that are gathered from foreign sources. Please make some changes.Maybe sme of the buddhist works or the works that is done by the mauryans or etc may help current historians to interpret better about western civilisation but this matter alone cant be accepted that the works that is foreign to Tamil Country can be used to state the historic condition of Ancient and Medieval Tamil country and directly underestimate the historic accounts that is present in tamil literature or inscription--Tan Meifen (talk) 12:29, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Early CholasChola Kingdom – Redirect is now fixed. WP:COMMONNAME based on This Search. Matches with Chola Empire. SKAG123 (talk) 02:49, 4 June 2024 (UTC) — Relisted. P.I. Ellsworth , ed. put'er there 01:35, 13 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment – Changing the redirect target doesn't affect the principal basis of Walrasiad's opposition to the previous RM. Do you have any evidence that the term "Chola Kingdom" is used only to describe the Early Cholas rather than throughout the dynasty's full existence as a political entity? If the term isn't used that way, then the status quo is preferable. ModernDayTrilobite (talkcontribs) 21:11, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose on grounds offered. This is a trivial use of Ngrams that isn't responsive to the concerns above. You're showing that the name Chola kingdom is used in literature... great. That doesn't necessarily affect the title of this article. It'd be like showing that "France" is more popular than "Gaul" in ngrams and using that to argue moving the Gaul article to "France".
