terrorist[edit]

Can someone check is it the proper way to use the word terrorist in Wikipedia rules? Also, al Queda links are under dispute in the reference, not 100% sure, as I read in the 1st reference.Ayasi 22:20, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

For phrasing using terrorist, you must say it has been designated. Simply stating that it is a terrorist organization violates WP:WTA. The links to Al-Qaeda are unclear, but rarely disputed. The dispute over the ties should be expanded. KazakhPol 02:12, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

United Nations designation[edit]

This week, the United States joined China in persuading the United Nations to add the group to its global watch list - a step that a Chinese spokesman trumpeted here today as "an encouraging result from China's cooperation with the United States and other countries in fighting terrorism." Announcing the United Nations designation in Washington today, Philip T. Reeker, a State Department spokesman, said: "The East Turkestan Islamic Movement is a violent group believed responsible for committing numerous acts of terrorism in China, including bombings of buses, movie theaters, department stores, markets and hotels; assassination; and arson." Mehmet Emin Hazret[edit]

Pretty much all of the material at Mehmet Emin Hazret comes from two sources, statements from the Chinese gov and a radio free asia interview with him. My thought is that that article should be merged into this one. Any objections? --Nuujinn (talk) 12:24, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

East turkestanis/ turkistanis[edit]

The cultural and biological ancestors of you people who self-identify as east turkistanis came into China several hundred years ago from today's Anatolia (Near East, Asia Minor), the Caucasus, trans-Caucasus and parts of northern Persia. This is very similar to Jewish people moving into Europe from their ancestral Middle-East, and the Romany gypsy peoples moving into Europe from India. Since you want to liberate yourselves, you should look to return to the land of your ancestors, to for example areas in today's Turkey. The Jews returned to the Middle-East successfully to form their country of Israel. No country in Europe will allow the establishment of a Hebrewstan or a Gypsystan in any part of Europe. Nor will America allow its Black people to form an Afrostan in today's USA. Likewise there is no east turkistan in China.
