American or Canadian spelling

The question is if American or Canadian spelling is used for a US based encyclopedia about a Canadian phenomenon. Bellagio99 19:37, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

• The standards of the encyclopaedia are Canadian spellings for Canadian articles, and American spellings for American articles. For "unowned" articles like Socks, you stick with whatever version it starts with - the rule is simply "don't change it" - hence Orange (colour) and Silver (color) WilyD 19:59, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

2006 census

Dear Marathone (man?): I see you updated the pop. before you got there, but I tidied a bit by doing a %decline (-2.7%), updating the pop. on the header size, and adding an explanatory note on need to add up census tracts.Bellagio99 14:57, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

No problem. I've calculated the raw population figures from CT data for the abolished municipalities of the "new" Toronto, Hamilton, and Ottawa for my own reference, and I figured there might be plenty of others who would like that data as well. Since they aren't posted as specific entities at Statcan anymore, it's hard to "source" them to Statcan other than to say how I calculated them. I've been adding them to the articles so that the information is available. Feel free to do any tidying up or relocating of the figure to a different portion of the article to increase the user-friendliness. Marathone 15:05, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
