Ebola Rex[edit]

I'm kind of torn on this one. I saved this draft years ago but sources just never seem to have come about. I really, really want it to be notable because the premise is just so crazy.

If anyone wants to adopt it off of me, feel free - I don't mind continuing to have it in my userspace otherwise. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 20:43, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • My questions is basically "is it notable"? The coverage of the sequel makes it slightly lean more towards notability but it's iffy enough that I'm leaning more towards no. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 20:44, 17 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I will have a look. Looks promising. Thanks. -My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 20:37, 4 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@ReaderofthePack Clearly notable in my view. I've added a few things as you probably saw, but not much. I didn't move it the Main (temptation was strong), but only so as to let you do it because it's your work. Please move it as Ebola Rex! ( (film) is not needed) I would also recommend (I bolded it in your draft) to create a redirect to the sequel section from Ebola Rex Versus Murder Hornets (until someone wants to make it a standalone page; as you say, sources exist) Thanks a lot. -My, oh my! I'm slightly hesitant - Reel Reviews's review features a lot of broken HTML, which kind of makes me question its reliability. FilmTotal is kind of a database listing at best and the other new review (Caillou Pettis) is sort of a SPS.
That said, Reel Reviews is on Rotten Tomatoes, which helps argue for it to some degree. It's just that this feels kind of on the weaker side and I'm worried that this wouldn't survive a second AfD. It was already nominated and almost deleted, which raises its visibility.
Maybe a compromise would be to nominate it to AfC? I know that AfC can be pretty strict, but if it passes there then it should hold up at AfD. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 20:23, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@ReaderofthePack Thanks for the reply. Your call. I think it is notable and passes WP:NFILM with various reviews and many sources about production/release, some of better quality than other. It had a cultural impact (a sequel, which was adapted into video game). Why worry it would even be taken to Afd? There was a first Afd, you say? I can't find any trace of it. Anyway, I support a move but, again, it's your call. You also have:
    1. Horror Fuel
    2. Vents Magazine
    3. this (FWIW)

Found the 1st Afd on the TP. Nominator and only participant (apart from you) said that his/her "BEFORE showed only brief promo pieces, video trailers, release announcements, and blog posts". Not the case anymore, is it? -My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 23:20, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you think it'll survive, then feel free to move it. I'm just very skittish with moving stuff unless there's very strong sourcing. ReaderofthePack(formerly Tokyogirl79) (。◕‿◕。) 16:59, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Happy New Year. I had missed that message. Will do then. Best, -My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 22:24, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

 Done (moved from WP:HORROR TP-My, oh my! (Mushy Yank) 22:38, 17 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
