Why Turkish?

[edit]

I do not fight edit wars, so I have not removed the Turkish name again. I would, however, like to see an explanation as to why the Turkish name is relevant. Echinos is a Pomak village where the inhabitants speak Pomak/Bulgarian (and of course Greek). I know that many of the inhabitants also speak Turkish because of their dealings with the Turkish-speaking part of the Muslim minority (and quite a few speak German as well, after having worked in Germany), but that is no reason to give the name of the village in Turkish (or German) in the lede. I'm wondering if this village is the opening scene of the film The Beekeeper. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.174.106.137 (talk) 09:18, 11 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
