Under Portuguese, it says that isn't common to use simply 'yes' or 'no' as a response toa polar question, and is common to give thecompelte answer. this may be true for european portuguese, maybe; but in brazillian portuguese is very common(at least in the last 20 years) in everyday speech to give simply 'yes' or 'no' as a response(and this may rise the sabe ambiguities that exist in english). can someone explain how polar word are normally answered in european portuguese ?Porcofederal (talk) 01:40, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
