Use of en-dash in title[edit]

Bad idea. En-dash is not the character normally used in hyphenated names. Also, it is not on any computer keyboards, making it impossible to access the article directly by typing its URL. The article was moved to "Eckert[endash]Mauchly Computer Corporation", apparently without discussion, by Dicklyon on 11 June 2008. Returned to original name on 29 January 2009. Please don't try this stunt again.QuicksilverT @ 22:19, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Actually there's an important difference between hyphenated names (names of one person) and names of two people, conventionally connected by an en dash. See MOS:ENDASH for the explanation of why an en dash in preferred in this article title. Oh, and the en dash has been on the Mac keyboard at option-hyphen since 1984; you'd think 25 years would be long enough for people to have learned. Dicklyon (talk) 04:15, 28 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
