Disputed[edit]

The reference to the claim that the Philippines was the second largest economy in Asia does not mention this claim anywhere. See [1] This was disputed by another Rappler, another Philippine-based media company[2]. Summarizing data from World Bank[3] also shows that Philippines ranked 4th at the highest during Ferdinand Marcos's term.

I've tried to address this by rewriting the opening pargaraph using the Rappler article as a reference, also emphasizing that the figure is for before Marcos, as of the end of the Macapagal administration. - Thundersub (talk) 17:38, 29 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
