Space infrastructure[edit]

"... guess what i bit myself isnt that awesome now on with kazakhstan economy....as well as developed space infrastructure, which took over all launches to the International Space Station from the Space Shuttle."jj[ijij; It is misleading to state that Kazakhstan has a developed space infrastructure - it virtually has no possibility of sustaining a cosmodrome without Russian help. As a currently rented piece of land, Baikonur and its infrastructure are under Russian jurisdiction and economic administration. Please amend the quoted part to reflect the reality. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.235.205.78 (talk) 20:08, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bermuda[edit]

I can't understand in which way does Kazakhstan trade with Bermuda 13.4%. Source?

Bermuda is a tax-haven. The Kazakhstanian president goes there when he wants to 'get some' taxfree.
Bermuda shouldn't be on there for exports. According to the CIA Factbook:
Germany 12.4%, Russia 11.6%, China 10.9%, Italy 10.5%, France 7.6%, Romania 4.9% (2006)

Updating statistics[edit]

I wanted to update the statistics, because they are outdated. Why are they locked? Selerian (talk) 17:28, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have to search for "Economy of Kazakhstan" among templates: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template:Economy_of_Kazakhstan_(sidebar) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.250.198.205 (talk) 10:39, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

External link to tariff data[edit]

Hello everyone, I am working for the International Trade Centre (ITC), a UN/WTO agency that aims to promote sustainable economic development through trade promotion. I would like to propose the addition of an external link (http://www.macmap.org/QuickSearch/FindTariff/FindTariff.aspx?subsite=open_access&country=SCC398%7cKazakhstan&source=1%7CITC) that leads directly to our online database of customs tariffs applied by Kazakhstan. Visitors can easily look up market access information for Kazakhstan by selecting the product and partner of their interest. I would like you to consider this link under the WP:ELYES #3 prescriptions. Moreover, the reliability and the pertinence of this link can be supported by the following facts 1) ITC is part of the United Nations, and aims to share trade and market access data on by country and product as a global public good 2) No registration is required to access this information 3) Market access data (Tariffs and non-tariff measures) are regularly updated

Authorship[edit]

Was this article written personally by President Nazarbayev or did he use help of his advisors? This is a huge collection of bulllsh!t propaganda. All claims of prosperity and growth are not only not confirmed by the sources cited but are actually disproved by them. The growth of economic freedom "by 22 points" is backed up by an article actually saying the country is drowning in corruption and the oil profits going only to the elite. Le Grand Bleu (talk) 15:01, 8 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

To User Grand Bleu: The presence of corruption or a concentration of ownership interest in the oil sector, while worthy of note, does not at all disprove claims of 22-point economic freedom growth by itself. More counter-evidence would be needed in other sectors to counter claims of broad growth in economic freedom. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.59.24.184 (talk) 18:53, 20 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing[edit]

The Heritage Foundation has been cited in this article, notably regarding the ' Economic Freedom Index ' in the macroeconomics section. I don't believe they have a good track record of being reliable nor unbiased. It is important to note that they do have a political agenda. 120.16.149.226 (talk) 00:18, 5 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
