This is an ambiguous statement in the opening paragraph: "The Greek word for litany is Συναπτή/Synaptê, Ektenia being derived from the Slavonic ектенїѧ/ekteniya."

Considering a grammatical restructuring to "The common Greek word for litany is Συναπτή/Synaptê, the English transliteration Ektenia being derived from the Slavonic ектенїѧ/ekteniya, itself from the Greek "ekteneia = extension, intentness (of mind), earnestness". It otherwise reads as if Slavonic was the source of this word, which is not the case. Am I allowed to? I'm not a registered user of this website, and so I would prefer if someone who had the authority could do so. It was just an observation, a passing glance at an otherwise interesting insight into the cultural heritage of Byzantium. I could change it but that would probably render me a "vandal" in the eyes of fellow registered users and that is not my intent. Mere correctness is. :) Thank you. Wiki Watcher!
