We seem to be going round in circles here. The BBC (primary) source says "Earlier this year, photographer Ed Gold lived alongside the community, documenting people's lives and exploring what drove them to move to this remote location" and all the photograph's in the account are by Gold. The (secondary) source from thepublicpurse has that article as a "resource" and explicitly gives the weblink to it. Alan Palin's article says "I opened the small iron doors of the lighthouse to reveal a small room with a series of info boards on the wall depicting life in the Scoraig community. I recently read a small piece on the BBC website about Scoraig, the link is below" confirming a) that the BBC article is read by people interested in Scoraig and b) that photographs by Gold are part of that communities own local history. There is a third confirmatory article in the Mail Online (deprecated in general as a WP source but here merely confirming what all the other sources say). As WP editors, it is up to us to decide which of these references should go into the article to back up the fact of the existence of the primary source: and that source, as I've said before, is not as "primary" as some are given that the BBC, not Gold, has editorial control and responsibility for what they publish on their "in pictures" articles. Gold is a photographer and these images illustrate his work: isn't that what readers would hope to see in a Wikipedia article? Taking, for example, Karimeh Abbud a photographer whose work is now out of copyright and so can be included in the article on her, there is a whole gallery of images illustrating examples (in the form of postcards, in her case). Unusually for a BLP, we have correctly licensed images of Gold's work and can therefore include a selection of them. If you think it would be better to explicitly place these images in a "Gallery" section at the bottom of the article, that's fine by me. Mike Turnbull (talk) 14:16, 31 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As I said, the photographs are there as examples of his work. If you would prefer to use different examples, then please do so, there are many available. Indeed, the images don't add any understanding of the subject (and I really question why there are multiple sections about different projects he has been involved with, sourced only to the projects themselves!) I have removed the parachute regiment images. In the Ed Gold article it is written that I rode my motorcycle to Ukraine to document a 'pyrolysis' project. I did, but in fact I rode my motorcycle to Ukraine twice in 3 months in 2023. (It took 6 days riding each way, from UK to Ukraine, so 24 days of riding). The 2nd time I rode back to Ukraine was to star in a movie about the Russian genocide of Ukrainian children. In #1 web news article, if your browser is translating to English, please count down to the 36th line and you will see "The director of the film "Save the Grasshopper" Oleksandr Kiriyenko proposed the candidacy of Ed Gold - a journalist and photojournalist..."

and on line 38 and 39 it reads "He has an interesting perspective on what he sees, interesting photo books. During filming, Ed moves around the cities on his motorcycle, which he brought with him from England. Next, we developed a plan, looked for stories not only of children who suffered in that tragedy, but also of heroes who would confirm the theses of genocide."

In #2 web news article, if you count down to the 61st line you will see "Our English friend Ed Gold was a little more lucky, because he heard these stories already in translation. And in translation they do not sound so shrill. I am sure that if he heard the "straight" language, he would also cry."

and on the 73rd line "We had three candidates for the role, and in the end we chose Ed Gold. He is a very interesting person: journalist, traveler, photographer. He rides a motorcycle, lives in a tent while traveling and publishes very colorful books with his photographs. He is very sensitive and sincere, and since he had already been to Ukraine before, he immediately responded to our proposal. It was very comfortable and interesting to work with him."

Please make sure that your web browser can translate into English and you will indeed see that I am mentioned. It was a great deal of time and effort to go to Ukraine, so I would be most grateful if you can include that I starred in this movie after the article mentions I motorcycled to document the pyrolysis project on my first trip and include the web article links. Hi Valereee Please can you change the domain name on the Ed Gold Wikipedia page, from www.edgold.co.uk to [[[Wikipedia is blocking me typing this new URL, what can I do to show it to you?]]]. I stopped paying for a website a while ago, and have currently been linking my domain name 'www.edgold.co.uk' to my Facebook page. But it looks like I will have to delete my Facebook page, and no longer wish to have my own domain, so are you able to use the 'mystrikingly' website domain instead please? This link goes to my current, free website (I would have to pay to link www.edgold.co.uk to it). I'm not earning enough to justify spending on unnecessary items like this. Thank you for your help. Hm, that's what I was wondering -- mystrikingly.com is blacklisted. Let me see if I can find out why, but it probably has to do with people creating websites there to spam Wikipedia with links. It looks like there's only one article that uses a link to that domain, and I'm guessing it was added before the domain was added to the blacklist and that the next time someone tries to edit it, they won't be able to save it with that still included. Valereee Thank you so much Valeree. If I cannot show people a website, it will look very bad, and today I was forced to delete all my social media apart from YouTube (I employed a corrupt marketing company to market my social media, and they got me to sign a bogus contract which they are now pursuing me for). My website is all I have to show my current work and provide a link to Wikipedia.

If you cannot find a way to show my site, then I would have to resurrect my old domain name www.edgold.co.uk and pay $12 every month to have it linked to the current 'mystrikingly' site. The URL I use to shorten the 'mystrikingly' website URL is:

https://tiny url.com and /positivefuturesmagazine
