Dispute over claim of “first American to kill someone in a car accident.”[edit]
In the personal section, there is a claim that Russell was “He was the first American to kill someone in a car accident.” This claim is accompanied by a footnote to the New York Times obituary, but there is nothing in the obituary to support that claim. The NYT obit states that he was seriously injured in an accident, but nothing about him killing someone in a vehicular accident. In my opinion, this should be removed. Now Wikpedia does have an article on the death of Henry H. Bliss, which would counter this claim, and the Bloss article is better sourced. So I removed the statement.
