updating company logo[edit]

Hi,I work for Edwards and I would like to update the company logo to the correct one, which was updated in 2016.Thank you - Edwards Comms Edwards Comms (talk) 15:11, 2 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Could you upload it to Wikipedia with an appropriate copyright disclaimer? Alternatively I can take a copy from the website and seek exemption as a logo used solely for identification. Misleading template 4 August 2022[edit]

User:Thenerdyengineer has added a 'misleading' tag to the Edwards Vacuum page. I wrote most of the section, though mostly to try and remove a lot of out of date and promotional stuff pasted from Edwards' website.

I just wanted to start a dialogue to figure out what it was that was objected to in the hope we could edit it up together. I had never heard of the company or really thought about hi vac pumps until I started editing the page.

The material in the section is taken from referenced legal judgements (not partial filings from the participants to the cases) and reporting on them, and Edwards' own SEC filings.Ed1964 (talk) 01:43, 4 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please edit the logo and financial details[edit]

Dear wikipedia editor,

I'm employed by Atlas Copco, of which Edwards is a brand. I'm requesting changes to this Wikipedia page on behalf of my company. Some company info should be adapted to reflect oragnisational changes.

What I think should be changed: ● Please remove the current logo and replace with this logo:
Official logotype of Edwards Vacuum, a brand within the Atlas Copco Group

● Please remove the following fields from the infobox: revenue, net income, and number of employees.

Why it should be changed: In 2016, Edwards Ltd. was acquired by the Atlas Copco Group. The information in the info box dates back to when Edwards was still an independent company. All figures refer to Edwards Ltd in the UK before 2016, therefore this information is outdated. Since Edwards is now a brand within the Atlas Copco Group, only consolidated information can be disclosed.

Y The financial information was omitted.
N The logos were not added. The logo that was uploaded was done so under an attribution license. That license allows the logo to be used by anyone for any purpose, which no company would surely allow for a logo meant to represent themselves and their interests.
To that end, the COI editor is asked to upload the logo under its correct non-free use license. Once that logo is uploaded, kindly return to this talk page and open a new edit request (using the {{Edit COI}} template) asking that the logo be added to the article.

Please use WP:FUW first

The logo that you wish to display in the article first needs to be uploaded under the correct license to Wikipedia before it can be added to the article. The previously uploaded logo was not added under the correct license. That logo is now under a speedy deletion discussion.
Please use the File Upload Wizard to upload the logo, taking care to ensure that the logo's correct license is used by selecting "Upload file for Non-Free Use".
Once the logo is uploaded with the correct non-free-use license and approved, kindly return to this talk page and open a new edit request (using the {{Edit COI}} template) and request for the logo to be added to the article.
