Rigging[edit]

The article states that the stroke is always on port, which is not necessarily the case - boats can be rigged with either a port or starboard stroke. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.37.221.112 (talk) 16:10, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No, it doesn't. It says that "stroke side" is on port. Stroke may or may not be on stroke side. For more detail, see Boat positions (sport rowing)#Boat Rigging. David Biddulph (talk) 16:51, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Overhaul needed?[edit]

Has anyone else noticed that all the pages about different rowing boat classes consist of minimal information about the specific boat and then the generic rowing boat paragraph? I think it would be more appropriate to merge all the articles into one, simply named "Fine Racing Boats" or something, with the paragraph about the structure and then a table detailing all the different boat classes?

I'm willing to help orchestrate this but I wanted to get other people's thoughts first. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 146.90.133.155 (talk) 10:29, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
