Advisement in removing references to Russian origins[edit]

Mrs. Siurina-Castronovo has requested that for the time being, all mentions, category placement, or references to Russian origins be removed. In these sensitive times, Mrs. Siurina-Castronovo is concerned about her extended family in Russia, as well as her immediate family where she currently resides. I am a longtime friend of Charles Castronovo, and the family has requested if I am able to do this. I need advisement to do this correctly, complying with the necessary protocols. If the authoring community needs verification, please let me know how this is possible. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thetechhelper (talkcontribs) 15:52, 12 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Authoring community, I will go ahead and implement the tentative changes. Please assist me rather than simply delete, as Ms. Katerina is simply looking out for her safety and the safety of her family. Thetechhelper (talk) Thetechhelper (talk) 19:54, 13 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am not quite understanding the motivation behind this request. There is a much more detailed article on Mrs. Siurina in the Russian version of Wikipedia, her own website contains references to her being born in Ekaterinburg and studying in Moscow, and anyone familiar with her work would know of her Russian origins. Are we now trying to eliminate all references to Russia for notable figures of Russian origin? That is contrary to the spirit of an encyclopedia.
