El GuelbelkebirEl Guelb El Kebir – official name of commune accoeding to french and arabic wiki page Abdeldjalil09 (talk) 16:30, 16 October 2017 (UTC) Abdeldjalil09 (talk) 16:30, 16 October 2017 (UTC) --Relisting.  — Amakuru (talk) 22:10, 23 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose. No evidence that it's the more common name in English. The official name has the status of primary source only; The French and Arabic Wikipedias aren't reliable sources at all (perhaps sadly!). Instead create a new redirect from the proposed name to the article, the official name shouldn't be a redlink. Andrewa (talk) 00:25, 24 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment My searches have revealed very little coverage of the commune in English-language sources. WP:UE#No established usage in English-language sources states: "It can happen that an otherwise notable topic has not yet received much attention in the English-speaking world, so that there are too few sources in English to constitute an established usage...If this happens, follow the conventions of the language in which this entity is most often talked about (German for German politicians, Turkish for Turkish rivers, Portuguese for Brazilian municipalities etc.)." • I get nine ghits excluding Wikipedia ie "El Guelbelkebir" -Wikipedia. That's not a lot but there seem no false positives, so the name is in use in English. Andrewa (talk) 09:31, 24 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose move for now. If we later find a reliable source to state El Guelb El Kebir is the official name, we may defer to it for lack of a better option. However, regardless of the outcome of this RM, whichever name is not used for the article should redirect to the article.  ONR  (talk)  00:19, 25 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
