Article Name[edit]

I think the article should be moved to "El Mirage Lakebed". It may have been a lake at one point, but that was a very, very long time ago. It's a lakebed now (going by "year round" lake -- there is water there for a short time when it rains).

"In Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton), her son John (Edward Furlong) and the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger) drive away from Los Angeles and South towards the border; this whole desert sequence was shot at the El Mirage lake. Most noticeably is the orange sunlight (very visible during Sarah's nuclear nightmare), and the sparse vegetation."

There are no facts to back this up. I've been looking for the desert location for some time and no where in my research does El Mirage lake pop up. The desert scene location was described in the movie as on the border of the Mojave Desert but in South East Lancaster. In the movie there are plenty of cacti/vegetation. Also plenty of hills and mountains in the surrounding area.
