Talk:Elan (Order of the Stick)
Elan Rocks!
Picture
[edit]The current picture does not give at all an accurate representation of Elan--it needs to be changed to something more silly, or at least less angry. I suggest the last panel of (I think, the website is blocked from the computer here) 203, where he's doing a handstand topless with a lantern and a jar of jelly. :-p JeffKo427 15:38, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- I agree that it's not a good representation of Elan, so I've replaced it with an alternate. --Tailkinker 19:52, 8 February 2007 (UTC)
- Perhaps you're right, though I think the picture is still worth putting within the article, as it does show a valid side of him, if not his main personality.ShadowHare 06:58, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
Name Pronunciation
[edit]I added the IPA of Elan's name, to emphasize that it's pronounced differently than the English word elan. Gitman00 20:10, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- I think some sort of citation link would be good there, if you'd be so kind. --Tailkinker 08:22, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
Sure thing. I'll get it posted when I find it. I'm going to restore the IPA, in the meantime, and add the "citation needed" tag to it. Someone without a username seems to have deleted it and called it vandalism, violating the "assume good faith" policy, in my humble opinion. Gitman00 15:03, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Okay, I've added the citation. Gitman00 16:12, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
About the other picture
[edit]About 'Elan in Azure City, wearing his original bardic chain shirt and cloak.', that's not his original drawing... It's after the art upgrading they were supposed to pretend never happened, althrough he clearly states about the thingy in his neck and Roy's new boots. 200.181.52.8 19:18, 26 August 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Elan1.jpg
[edit]Image:Elan1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Dashing Swordsman
[edit]i found a website with homebrew stuff for Dungeons and Dragons with Dashing Swordsman in the prestige class section. Also, one of the prerequisites is that you must be a PC or a father figure to a PC. here is a link: [[1]] --76.169.147.218 (talk) 00:16, 22 March 2008 (UTC)
