Clarification of "GEAUX VOTE" for non natives please.

I recently saw a photo of a politician speaking at a podium with the words "GEAUX VOTE" hung on it. That led me to this page which shows that this is apparently somehow related to elections in LA but I think it might be helpful if someone can explain what this phrase means? Google translate does not understand the word "geaux" and neither does my friend from Quebec, CA. 172.88.134.103 (talk) 16:37, 16 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
