Why moved?[edit]

Why was this article moved from Gordon (electoral district) to Electoral district of Gordon (South Australia)?

The original title is more in keeping with the conventions at WP:TITLE - most notably that shorter titles are preferred and that titles should only be as precise as necessary. Gordon (electoral district) is both shorter and less precise (but sufficiently precise) than Electoral district of Gordon (South Australia).

I request that the move be reverted and that a move request be made via WP:RM.

Also, any and all future potentially controversial moves (any move inconsistent with policy at WP:TITLE should be assumed to be potentially controversial) should always go through WP:RM. --Born2cycle (talk) 22:42, 28 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
