User:Praxidicae just reverted this article back five years due to an "egregious copyvio", but the Copyvio report says "Violation unlikely" with 17.4% identical text - and it's mostly stuff like the names of the founders and so on. I haven't come across the copyvio issue on Wikipedia before, and after reading Wikipedia:Copyright problems I still don't understand how much overlap between an original text and the Wikipedia page is understood to be problematic - that page seems to be describing much more obvious cases of plagiarism. In this article, it seems like the identical phrases are mostly statements of facts - they could be paraphrased, but would that really help? Is the issue that they need to be referenced? I want to fix the page without making any mistakes, so would appreciate advice - perhaps there is a discussion somewhere with more explicit guidelines about this. Yeah it's not a copyvio now because I removed the offending text. PICKLEDICAE🥒 12:37, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Could we get this in the scope of WP:WELW?

[edit]

HI, could we also note that this is in the scope of Women Electronic Literature Writers? How would we do that? Thanks! LoveElectronicLiterature (talk) 20:47, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
