[Jeonghyeon's] peer review
[edit]Hello, Krystawaliciki and Salam
First of all, I was impressed by your well-organized structure. The lead part explained so well that I could easily understand the basic understanding of e-waste issues in Africa. In particular, you designed and mentioned various parts regarding this topic; the E-waste problems, economic benefits, environmental issues, and health problems. This structure was so impressive. Plus, I was impressed by your highly reliable article using statistical numbers. There is not enough space for my advice regarding your clean structure and balanced coverage part. However, there is tiny space for your article with my suggestions.
I think it will definitely be added to your final version, but I want to remind you that readers might want to know a little more about the details of the e-waste's danger. As you mentioned, dismantling E-waste puts a lot of young children and unskilled people at risk. I think it would be better if you could explain how dangerous exposure to these wastes has resulted in certain diseases with a statistical indicator. You can use statistical graphs or indicators compared to people in areas not exposed to E-waste. For example, if lead poisoning occurs, it would be reliable to have an indicator of the severity of lead poisoning in people working in the E-waste area. And I think it's an excellent indicator to evaluate how we treat E-waste problems' bright and dark side in Africa. Lastly, if you describe the political ties between countries that import waste and European countries that export E-waste, I think it will be very meaningful data. Overall, I learned a lot from your article's strong part: a well-organized structure with great numbers. I hope my suggestion helps your solid start! Great work!
