Is she notable?[edit]

With all due respect to Ms Rees, is a recorder notable? We have no separate article on Recorder of Cardiff for example. It is not a national position, like a High Court judge. What sources establish notability?

Added to that, the terminology used for her previous judicial offices is anachronistic. The stipendiary magistrates were renamed by the Access to Justice Act 1999, so she would not have been a (deputy) district judge in 1992 or 1994.

Hello anon! Partly she is notable because she has an entry in Who's Who (as per WP:ANYBIO). She is also a circuit judge (ie a full-time judge of the Crown Court) and is therefore notable as per WP:NPOL. Recorder in this instance is not referring to the modern day part-time judges but to a historic office that denotes the most senior judge in that jurisdiction (in this case, the Resident Judge of Cardiff Crown Court).
