Alumni
[edit]Facebook pages or groups exist for Cubberley High School discussions are in place. Next year, 2012 will mark the 50 year since the class of 1962 graduated.
Coach Len Doster encouraged the Cubberly football players to win many games in South Peninsula Athletic League. Don Castle was the quarterback for the first three years of the high school's existence. Pete Shambora led the offence for the next three years. Gilbert Moore, was a back and senior class president.
The auto shop teacher was Mr. Smart, who had a super-charged Graham from the 1930's. The Obelisk with mascots of each of the schools in the SPAL still stands near the field house and looks over the grassy commons where graduation ceremonies were conducted.
Larry Sasich, (1962,) gained some notoriety for authoring a consumer alert about the things your pharmacist won't tell you.
The alumni are not very active as compared to the alumni of Pally or Gunn. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cactusmitch (talk • contribs) 20:00, 30 November 2011 (UTC)
- I think part of the issue of listing alumni is making sure they have Wikipedia articles to establish notability (no red links). Jooojay (talk) 23:24, 28 June 2017 (UTC)
School Wall
[edit]There was a wall in front of the school displaying the seals and mascots of each of PAUSD’s three high schools and Jr high/middle schools. Could we have some info on this, why it was put up, how long it was there, etc. Also, a picture could improve the article. 2601:647:5800:7D80:119D:2328:DB58:5450 (talk) 07:30, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
