Map

[edit]
The size and shape of Elmendorf has changed considerably. If you compare Maptechnia to Google Maps you can see that Elmendorf city limits has crossed into Wilson County. I don't know where people get the maps they post on these pages, but it seems a lot need to be updated. The red highlighted areas look like the ones you see on Google Maps, which in a lot of cases, are not up to date. I'm not criticizing anybody. When I first started editing these pages I relied on Google Maps. I was scratching my head a lot wondering why the page said the community was in multiple counties when the map clearly showed it was not. I stumbled across MapTechnia and can now see that Google Maps are the problem. I've probably made some incorrect edits because of this. I doubt if I correct them all, hopefully someone will correct the ones I missed.
Anyway, I thought I'd post this here since the differences in the maps are so clear. In Google Maps Elmendorf doesn't come close to Wilson County. I'm hoping people see this and pass it on so that the maps on the wikipages can be update.Jdtrue63 (talk) 09:44, 6 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
