Removed vandalism from Glue-All section (see page history). It is unfortunate that PSLPs can edit WP. Seejyb 21:00, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So it's not made from cow hooves then? It's not a gelatin/collagen-based glue? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.122.63.142 (talk) 16:02, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a current employee and I'm updating some of this article with more current info from the company website to be more professional sounding wiki-article, including grammatical clean up, and attempting to remove biased information. Hargdevice (talk) 01:49, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What is this glue made from?

[edit]

Is it a natural product, a solvent based glue, PVA, wallpaper-paste? Nobody knows what it is. Francis Hannaway 19:12, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

I have restored a paragraph that explains that it contains PVA. It is not a natural product. It does not contain solvents -- it's just an emulsion in water. Eric Kvaalen (talk) 09:42, 31 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, I was wondering the same thing as Francis. Is there a source saying Elmer's Glue All is PVA? For example, this page from the nautical archeology program at Texas A&M says, "It has generally been thought that Elmer's Glue All is a PVA emulsion. In its original formulation, it was a casein glue, but about 20 years ago, the Borden Co. changed the formula to a PVA emulsion." So is there another source for the statement? Maybe one from Elmer? 136.62.254.174 (talk) 18:06, 19 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

What happened to adhesive products for hardware and home repair

[edit]

It is disappointing that there is no mention of th discontuation of adhesive products for hardware and home repair. Elmer's caulk in particular was popular and highly rated (by Consumer Reports).

Are those products sold under a different brand name, or was that division of the company sold to a different company? When did this happen? I called Elmer's customer service phone and they told me only that they are discontinued. Lloyd Ewing (talk) 16:09, 10 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
