Linked to from Elmer the Bull?
When looking at the page for Elmer's Glue Inc, I was redirected to this page through a link from Elmer the Bull. Since the article clearly distinguishes between Elmer the Bull and Elsie the Cow, it is very misleading for both mascots to link to the same mascot. Any agreement? —Preceding unsigned comment added by TIE53 (talk • contribs) 00:22, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletions at commons tend to take longer than they do on Wikipedia, so there is no rush to respond. If you feel the deletion can be contested then please do so (commons:COM:SPEEDY has further information). Otherwise consider finding a replacement image before deletion occurs.

Major cleanup needed
We need a tag for this article that says, "This article essentially sucks." As it now reads, Elsie is a 75 year old, real cow who was created -- not born -- in the 1930s and can talk. While gays and lesbians only recently have begun to win the right to marry, Elsie -- a cow, you'll remember -- married Elmer. She's also earned college degrees. The sources, incidentally, suck as much as the article. I'll be slowly ripping this article apart over the next few days to see what's left when I'm done. Feel free to help. - SummerPhD (talk) 04:20, 24 September 2011 (UTC)
- OK, so I didn't get to it right away. For now, I'm cleaning up most of the clear fictional references so that they are clearly fictional. Although it is far from clear, it seems there was a real cow that either modeled for the cartoon or was named after the cartoon to promote it. This explains how Elsie was "created" in the 1930s, then appeared at the World's Fair and starred in a movie. As this is VERY unclear, I'm yanking all of the vague referrals to the apparent real world cow for now. We can add a section on the real cow later. (Incidentally, as the very last character listed for Little Men, Elsie clearly did not "star" in this movie. - SummerPhD (talk) 15:39, 8 January 2012 (UTC)
